
What is BNI?
BNI (Business Network International)
is the largest business networking
organization in the world. BNI has
been offering members the
opportunity to share ideas, contacts
and most importantly business
referrals for over 24 years.
What would my business benefit
from joining BNI?
By joining BNI, you will constantly
have business professionals working
for you 24/7. Through weekly
attendance of meeting and scheduled
one on one meetings with other
members, you will be able to form a
professional bond which no other
group or organization can offer and
with the credo of “GIVERS GAIN’ you
will see an increase in your
business exposure two fold. You also
will have the opportunity to present
to your chapter for ten (10) minutes
to discuss you and your business in
detail and then again on a
semi-annual basis.
What is expected of me as a
member?
Each member of BNI The Connection
Network is held to the same
standards and guidelines as any
other chapter of BNI. A minimum of
three (3) qualified referrals are to
be given to members on a monthly
basis along with at least one (1)
One to One (Dance) meeting with a
member. Also, attendance at weekly
meetings is crucial to each member’s
success. Each member is encouraged
to have a substitute represent them
at a meeting they personally are not
attending, however it is understood
that circumstances beyond control do
happen and obtaining a substitute
may not always happen. Mentors are
available to assist members with
clarifying their obligation to the
chapter.
What is the cost to join BNI?
The annual fee for BNI is $330.00
and for first time members, a one
time registration fee of $100.00 is
also charged. All membership fees
are sent to BNI Headquarters and not
kept locally. This specific chapter,
The Connection Network does require
semi-annual chapter dues of $30.00
per member which is held in a
non-interest bearing account for
expenses such as educational
speakers, group events, celebratory
events such as weddings and births
and bereavements.
How do I apply for membership?
Applying for membership to BNI The
Connection Network is a short
process. The chapter suggests that
you attend a weekly meeting to
witness the structure of the meeting
and to meet the members of the
chapter. An application would be
completed and submitted to the
Membership Committee along with full
payment. The Membership Committee
will process your application by
checking your listed client
references and meeting with you to
answer any questions you may have
regarding BNI The Connection
Network. This process takes up to 15
business days. After your approved
application is completed, you are
asked to attend Member Success
Program (MSP) to learn the details
of BNI and to prepare you to offer
your new chapter a presentation of
you and your business. You will have
the Membership Committee and the
Mentor team to work with you to
ensure your continued success with
BNI The Connection Network.
